Meet the Artist: JD Crawford
JD Crawford is a native Californian who was named ‘Best Country Band’ at the San Diego Music Awards and has opened for Dwight Yoakam. He’s been writing and singing country music for more than 30 years.
He met Carolyn Franks when he took his three kids to her petting zoo and started doing concerts there in the Farmyard. Together, Carolyn and JD spent five years producing eighteen original children’s songs themed around Gillie Guinea Pig and the animals as her zoo. “We Are Not Hamsters” was released in 2016, followed by “Ponies Don’t Surf,” two years later. When JD is not behind his guitar, you can find him hanging ten!
