PET GUINEA PIG ROCK CRAFT
Real guinea pig pets can be a lot of work, so what if we take a classic and give it a special Gillie twist on it? Today, we will be making a Pet Guinea Pig Rock.
This is the perfect craft for your crafty little ones as we can use all the leftover stickers, trimmings and whatever else you may have from past projects to make each Pet Guinea Pig Rock special.
HOW TO MAKE A PET GUINEA PIG ROCK
YOU WILL NEED:
Smooth round rocks (you can go to the store OR make an outdoor adventure out of it)
Googly eyes
Yarn and/or felt scraps
Stickers *optional for added decoration
Glue (we recommend Elmer’s glue, as using a stick of glue like you will see below can become a struggle)
LET’S GET CRAFTING!
Step 1:
Apply googly eyes. It’s good to put the eyes at the most narrow part of the rock. But this is your guinea pig, so get creative with it!
Step 2:
The yarn and felt scraps are going to be used as your guinea pig’s hair. Gather your felt scraps and cut up your yarn to various lengths. Or one long piece of yarn! This is your pet guinea pig rock, do whatever you envision your guinea pig’s hairstyle being.
STEP 3:
Cover the back two-thirds of your pet rock with glue. Be ready to wash some hands as this step can be messy!
STEP 4:
Tap into your inner stylist and apply the yarn and fabric. You can have a fluffy guinea pig like Marshmallow Puff, a long haired guinea pig like Famous or a short haired guinea pig like Gillie.
STEP 5: OPTIONAL
Give your guinea pig a little more personality and add stickers! Or Glitter! Or even markers!
